Sixteen UN, NGO and development vacancies and calls were open when checked on 6 November 2026, in 15 countries and territories from Rwanda and Afghanistan to Ecuador, Poland and Indonesia. Entry programs, boards, employers and UN pay scales are covered in the UN, NGO and development jobs directory; this list of ads is checked regularly.
The grade in each ad decides who can apply. P and D posts are recruited internationally; G, GS, NO and NPSA posts are filled locally, and UNICEF and IOM ads for those grades say the employer will not arrange visas or that only nationals may apply. Few ads state pay. Ads found through Impactpool carry its warning that closing dates may be wrong, so each should be confirmed on the employer’s own site.
Last checked: 6 November 2026. Listings expire; if an ad has closed, try the employer’s careers page.

Ads left out, and UNDP’s warning on fees
Several ads found during research had closed: a Danish Refugee Council child protection post in Uganda on 28 October 2026, an SOS Children’s Villages post in Vienna on 25 October, a Children International post in Guayaquil on 27 October, and a donor-funded project post in Asia on 14 August. Registration for an Asian Development Bank recruitment mission in Beijing closed on 9 October. UN Talent ad pages refused automated access, so none of its listings could be opened. Two ads from the previous check, a UNECA post in Addis Ababa and a UNICEF programme assistant post in Maiduguri, have since closed.
No ad above charges applicants. UNDP’s careers page states that it never charges a fee at any stage of recruitment and warns of fake vacancies that ask for registration, visa or booking fees.
