Healthcare Jobs Abroad: 16 Open Roles in 10 Countries

Sixteen healthcare vacancies were open when we checked them on 7 November 2026, from a surgical ward in São Paulo to a mental health team that works alongside police in Auckland. The list mixes entry-level and senior roles in ten countries, plus one international humanitarian pool, and every ad was opened on its original page.

Hospital and clinic nursing: eight roles

Nearly every nursing ad below asks for registration with the national regulator, or proof of eligibility, before the start date. The bodies named include the Nursing Council of Kenya, the Singapore Nursing Board, Australia’s AHPRA, the Dubai Health Authority and Brazil’s COREN. Registration for a foreign-trained nurse can take months, and the steps differ by country, as our explainer on nursing pathways and licensing sets out. None of the ads promises visa sponsorship unless noted.

Nurse, Paramedix GmbH, Dresden, Germany

Online since 6 November 2026; closing date not stated. The ad offers €45,000 to €55,000 a year gross on an open-ended contract, full or part time. It asks for completed nurse training as a Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger/in and a driver’s license, and does not state the German level required. See the Make it in Germany listing.

Nursing Specialist HF, Surgery, See-Spital, Horgen, Switzerland

Posted 6 November 2026; closing date and salary not stated. This permanent post runs at 50 to 100 percent, starting immediately or by arrangement. Candidates need a tertiary nursing qualification (HF or FH) recognized in Switzerland, plus experience in a Swiss acute hospital and with electronic nursing documentation. Clinical Nurse, Medical/Surgical Ward (4 positions), Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa, Kenya

Posted 4 November 2026; deadline 17 November 2026; contract role, salary not stated. The hospital wants registered nurses with a current Nursing Council of Kenya license, mandatory BLS certification and at least two years in an acute care setting. Applications go by email with a CV and cover letter, as set out in the MyJobMag Kenya listing.

Senior Staff Nurse, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore

Posted 2 November 2026; closing date and salary not stated. The role covers care for an assigned group of patients and guidance of junior nurses. It requires a nursing degree or diploma recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board, registration with the board and at least five years of experience, with tertiary hospital experience an advantage. Registered Nurse, HealthHub Dubailand, Al-Futtaim Health, Dubai, UAE

Posted 2 November 2026; closing date not stated; salary described only as competitive. The new outpatient clinic asks for a DHA nursing license or DHA eligibility letter, BLS and at least two years in a clinic or hospital. Fluent English is required and Tagalog is preferred; the post offers a five-day week. The ad sits on the Al-Futtaim careers site.

Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care, Nepean Hospital, Kingswood, Australia

Closes 16 November 2026; posting date not stated. Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District offers a temporary post, full or part time, until 19 September 2027, at $41.22 to $57.88 an hour. Applicants need AHPRA registration as a Division 1 registered nurse, neonatal experience and willingness to complete a graduate certificate in neonatal intensive care. See the NSW Health job page.

Licensed Practical Nurse, Emergency, University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Canada

Closes 16 November 2026; regular full time; $33.16 to $43.42 an hour. Alberta Health Services asks for a completed practical nurse program, current BCLS for health care providers and the central line medication module. Applicants must be registered, or eligible to register, with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta. Apply on the AHS careers site.

Enfermeiro Assistencial, Surgical Center, Hospital São Camilo, São Paulo, Brazil

Published 6 November 2026; closing date not stated; salary to be agreed. The mid-level post at the Pompéia unit is on a formal CLT contract with a six-days-on, one-off schedule from 12:00 to 18:00. It requires a nursing degree, active COREN registration and previous surgical center experience, and the ad is in Portuguese. Read the Vagas.com.br ad.

Clinical research nursing in Nairobi and Bern

Clinical Research Nurse, Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya

Posted 5 November 2026; deadline 30 November 2026; salary not stated. The hospital’s clinical research unit asks for a nursing degree or diploma, a Nursing Council of Kenya license, BLS, at least three years of experience and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice. Study Nurse / Study Assistant, Inselspital, Bern, Switzerland

Posted about 6 November 2026; closing date and salary not stated. Insel Gruppe offers a permanent post at 60 to 80 percent supporting clinical studies. It requires a Swiss nursing diploma at HF or FH level, very good German and good English. The full ad is on jobs.ch.

Allied health and mental health

Occupational Therapist I, Sturgeon Community Hospital, St. Albert, Canada

Closes 13 November 2026; regular part time at 0.5 FTE; $42.51 to $56.60 an hour. Alberta Health Services wants a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy, registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists and BCLS. It asks for a year of recent acute care experience but says new graduates with relevant clinical placements may be considered. See the AHS posting.

Sonographer, St Dominic Catholic Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria

Posted 6 November 2026; deadline and salary not stated; full time. The role covers abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular and Doppler scans, written reports for radiologist review and records on RIS/PACS. The listing asks for a degree-level qualification. Applicants email a CV and letter with the job title as the subject line, per the MyJobMag Nigeria listing.

Registered Clinicians, Co-Response Team, Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand

Listed 30 October 2026; closes 29 November 2026; permanent full time; salary not stated. The team responds to mental health calls with New Zealand Police, and registered nurses, social workers and psychologists can apply. It requires a current practicing certificate with a mental health scope, five years of acute mental health experience and a full New Zealand driver’s license. The ad is on jobs.govt.nz.

Physicians, public health and humanitarian work

Provisional Fellow, General Paediatrics, Maitland Hospital, Metford, Australia

Closes 22 November 2026; posting date not stated; $117,745 to $147,664. Hunter New England Local Health District offers a 12-month post from 1 February 2027. It requires a medical degree, registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia, and Advanced Trainee status with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, including six months in general pediatrics. Senior Advisor, Maternal and Newborn Health, Save the Children, Nairobi, Kenya

Posted 5 November 2026; deadline 19 November 2026; salary not stated. The post asks for an advanced degree in public health, midwifery, medicine or nursing, experience designing maternal and newborn health programs, and a record of winning donor-funded proposals. It involves travel up to 40 percent of the time. Applications go through Save the Children’s portal, linked from the MyJobMag Kenya listing.

International Mobile Staff, Médecins Sans Frontières Hong Kong

Published 1 January 2026; deadline 31 January 2027; pay not stated. This is a recruitment pool rather than a single post: MSF Hong Kong is seeking midwives, surgeons, anesthesiologists, obstetrician-gynecologists and pediatricians for field assignments decided after acceptance. Applicants submit an English CV and motivation letter, and MSF warns of processing delays. The call is on the MSF recruitment site.

Closing first: 13 November 2026 to 31 January 2027

The Alberta occupational therapy post closes first, on 13 November, followed on 16 November by the Nepean neonatal post and the Edmonton emergency post. Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa closes on 17 November, Save the Children on 19 November and the Maitland fellowship on 22 November. The Auckland co-response team closes on 29 November, the Nairobi research post on 30 November and the MSF pool on 31 January 2027.

The other seven ads state no closing date, so they can be withdrawn at any time. Health New Zealand also says it may start reviewing applications before its closing date.

Before you apply: fees and copied ads

Both Kenyan MyJobMag listings carry the same warning: applicants should never pay for notarization, certificates or assessments as part of recruitment. A request for money to apply, to “process” a file or to secure an interview before any offer is a warning sign in every country on this list. Ads like these are also copied to aggregator sites, sometimes with changed contact details, so check the ad against the employer’s own careers page before sending documents.

International recruitment of health workers carries an extra question. The World Health Organization’s safeguards list for 2023 names 55 countries with severe health workforce shortages, where active recruitment by foreign employers is discouraged. The Kenyan and Nigerian ads above are local hires by local employers.
